From the moment I stepped onto Syracuse University's campus in the spring of 2018, I knew it was the perfect place for me. It was clear that the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs were the perfect places for me to grow as a writer and as a person.
I recently graduated Syracuse University with a B.S. in Magazine, News, Digital Journalism, a B.A. in Citizenship & Civic Engagement, and a Minor in Business. This past year, I had the opportunity to be the Editor in Chief of Baked Magazine. Through my position and my classes at Newhouse I've learned how to edit and report stories, manage creative and editorial teams, curate website and social media content, SEO practices, and publish a print magazine. Last summer, I was even able to intern at New Jersey Digest Magazine where I gained experience working with a real commercial magazine. At Syracuse, I was part of number a number of other amazing clubs and organizations including Jerk Magazine, First Year Players, Gamma Phi Beta, and The Women's Network. Through my major in citizenship and civic engagement, I also had the chance to intern with community organizations like Refugee and Immigrant Self Empowerment and the Eastern Farm Workers Association with communications and community outreach.
I have always been super passionate about writing, traveling, and learning more about the world around me. I made this website to serve as a creative outlet and as a reference for future employers. Here I share the media I make, articles I write, things I find inspiring, my experiences as a college student, and everything in between! While I love writing, I want to develop a relationship with my audience and expose people to new ideas and perspectives.
Thank you so much for visiting my page. Happy reading!
